Leave to live – Nigerian woman says as she shares photos of her sister in ‘abusive marriage and after separation’

A Nigerian woman, Ifeoma Judith Okoro, has shared side by side photos of her sister showing her transformation after leaving an alleged abusive marriage.

The first photo captures her sister with swollen and bloodied lips after she was allegedly brutalized by her husband. 

According to Ifeoma, the incident occurred on Christmas Day in 2021.

She also narrated how they had to get the police involved after the man allegedly seized her sister’s credentials. 

“God is the greatest. After my sister left this monster,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday, June 18, 2026. 

 

“He tried to frustrate her by seizing her credentials that he manipulated her to keep.

 

“We eventually involved the police and at the end of the day the document he lied in the station that it wasn’t with him came after hand don touch am small. 
 

“You for wait for me to come use my hand collect am. Didn’t know who borrowed you some sense along the line.
